Engage: Employment

This is the main Employment page.  This module shows a listing of five top jobs, which users can click on to see more details about.  This will also show users their saved searches and which jobs they have applied for, if they have any.  As an administrator, this page features links to "Manage Jobs," which includes adding and editting locations, categories, positions, as well as actual job listings.  Adminstrators can also view applications which have been received through this module.

In Engage: Employment 1.2.0, we introduced the ability for the administrator to control multiple separate job groupings. This functionality allows separate users to manage distinct groups of jobs without interfering with the other's postings. The list on this page does not have job group restrictions, while the child pages of this page are restricted to just the jobs in their group.

Explaining the Scenario

There are six open jobs built in the demonstrations. These jobs have a variety of settings enabled to demonstrate the various features of Engage: Employment. In addition to this page, we have segregated our jobs to demonstrate how module permissions can be used in tandem with Job Groups to distribute responsibilities.

Job Groups

There are five jobs created in the "Sales" category and one job for the "Technical" category.  You'll see jobs listed for all categories here on the main page, but you could use these categories to restrict permissions for adding new jobs to these positions and/or who can view applications within a Job Group.

The Job Groups Admin module is only available to "demoadmin." The intent of this module is to allow an administrator to assign groups to the jobs and then assign ownership and security to the groups to allow another user to manage only jobs in their group. With standard DNN roles and security management the admin would be able to have complete control over who can view, edit, and manage which job groups.

Hot Jobs

There is a job flagged as "hot" to demonstrate the ability to feature jobs within your full listing.

Require Registration

Another feature you will notice is that with Engage: Employment you can control whether or not applicants are registered DNN users. The demonstration has DNN registration required for the main instance and the Sales Job Group Listings. The Technical Job Group Listing does not require registration and allows anonymous applications. Log out and try it out.
